Hi! My name is Desiree. I went to school to be an elementary teacher.... and now I am teaching babes instead. I daily chase around Lydia, Asher & Tariku with at least one cup of coffee in hand & sometimes a Diet Coke. I married the love of my life in 2006 and I am still amazed at how God has blessed us. We adopted Tariku from Ethiopia in the spring of 2012 and our hearts will always be connected with Africa.
When I am not hanging out with my family I love reading, finding vintage beauty, crafting, listening to the rain, blogging, dreaming about Africa, wishing I lived in a warm climate and so much more. This blog is a collection of the stories that inspire me. It is also a place where I can promote handmade business, speak up for the orphans, share my faith in the Lord, over share pictures of my children, and jabber about adoption.
Hannah James {the shop} started to help us raise money for our adoption, while helping other families as well. We believe most people are afraid to look into adoption because of the high cost. It is a huge sacrifice for any family to make. We hope Hannah James will help a little, while giving encouragement to those on the road less traveled. It is our mission that by helping other Hannah's we can bring home more James'.
